It's great to be 8! Cole's Baptism Day!

Saturday March 7, 2009 was a very special day. It was the day that Cole entered into the waters of baptism. Mark baptized and confirmed Cole. Nana Irene came all the way from England to be here for this special day. She also spoke at the baptism about the Holy Ghost. Others that were there to support Cole were the Larson's, Goldsberry's, Larsen's, Mickelsen's, Jane, Jonny, Liz, Connor, Anna, Papa Chad, Grandma Pat, Judith, and Marianne. (The Leitheads wanted to be there but Kaelin was really sick). Papa Chad and Brian Goldsberry stood as the witnesses. "The water was cold". Mark gave a lovely blessing after he confirmed Cole. I don't remember the specifics but the spirit was felt very strongly. The one thing I do remember is the analogy he made about falling down and getting back up. He mentioned that if Cole falls down and skins his knee both spiritually and physically that he will get up and be strong. Cole's feelings on this day were, "I felt really good." He is happy that he made the decision to follow in the foot steps of the Savior. He was in great spirits today! We had a celebration afterwards, where we enjoyed chili and baked potatoes. He had a cake shaped like an 8 (Mark's idea) and really cute sugar cookies that were shaped like 8's, boys and girls dressed in white and CTR shields. It was a perfect day!
